Brunswick St Gallery Small Works

Today I have delivered three pieces to the Brunswick St Gallery Small Works exhibition which runs from 19 June to 2 July 2009.
I used special paper that I bought in India, and mounted it on canvases. The pieces are 27.5 by 23 cm.

I have submitted 2 works in the Linden Postcard exhibition

Completed OIl Painting assignment

"The Lady Vanishes" was supposed to be the book title, but it was never a book in fact. The filmwas based on a book called "The Wheel Turns". The film still was from "Escape from New York' and the apple was the 'found object'. Of course the apple was a Pink Lady variety.

Discovered a new artist

The photography class is leading us to new and interesting artists.
We looked at Boris Zaborov yesterday. Combination of oil painting and photography.
I have added him to my list of references.

Aquatint workshop

On the second day of the aquatint workshop I created this image. The aquatint process created the black parts.

I stopped out the shadows on the eggs, and I burnished (to lighten) the lighter parts.

This took all day!
